Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aviation Systems Technician to join our team at Strom Aviation. As an Aviation Systems Technician, you will be responsible for performing assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.

  • Typical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers and associated equipment.
  • Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.
  • Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
  • Structural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.

This is a first shift position that has the following requirements.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School degree or GED equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment. May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess knowledge of the varied and complex electronic systems.
