Job Title: PT Cook/Chef

We are seeking a creative and skilled Part-Time Cook/Chef to join our team at Earth House, a small non-profit residential facility treating troubled young adults in East Millstone, NJ.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing 2 fresh meals plus snacks for approximately 10 people, 3-4 days per week. You will have the freedom to run your own healthy menu and schedule, without the daily pressure of most kitchens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for residents
  • Manage kitchen operations and maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Develop and implement a menu that meets the dietary needs of our residents
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Experience as a cook or chef in a residential or commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate, paid for an 8-hour day regardless of break time. This is an excellent opportunity for retired restaurant professionals or those looking for a low-pressure kitchen environment.

We are located near Franklin Township, Kendall Park, Hillsborough, Manville, South Brunswick, North Brunswick, and Princeton. You must have your own transportation as public transportation is not local.
