Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Leader to join our team at Tapestry. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client & Service Expert: Develop and implement business-driving initiatives to build repeat business and attract new customers. Communicate and achieve store productivity targets, including sales per hour, adt, upt, and capture rate.
- Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent: Assist the Store Manager in achieving financial success through improvement of measurable results that positively impact the store performance. Assume the Store Manager role in their absence and lead by example with the achievement of personal sales goals.
- Building Brand Equity: Understand and communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, brand philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers. Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency.
- Operational Excellence: Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the facility. Assist the Store Manager in maintaining payroll budget by managing schedule and making necessary adjustments when the business warrants.
Requirements:
- Professional Sales Development and Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: The successful candidate will possess professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and to our client base.
- Strong Leadership Qualities: The candidate will have strong leadership qualities, with the ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business.
- Minimum 3 Years Management Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment, with a college degree preferred.
- Prior Luxury Goods Experience: Prior luxury goods experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Available to Work Store Schedule: The successful candidate will be available to work the store schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Standing for Extended Periods: The candidate will be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to Safely Lift Boxes: The candidate will be able to safely lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable Climbing Ladders: The candidate will be comfortable climbing ladders.
