This 6-bed general adult psychiatric unit provides a low-stimulus environment focusing on safety and symptom stabilization for patients experiencing acute psychiatric illnesses and co-occurring disorders.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As a Registered Nurse - Acute Care, you will provide highly individualized care to patients with complex psychiatric needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

This role involves assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care. You will also participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in psychiatric care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • One year of recent RN experience preferred.
Additionally, you must have strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
