The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in a collaborative healthcare setting, delivering outstanding patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on evidence-based practices and personalized patient management. The RN is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience throughout their visit.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Associate degree in nursing is mandatory; BSN is preferred.
  • In Grand Rapids, if holding an ADN, enrollment in a BSN program is required within 6 months of employment and must be completed within 4 years.
  • Current licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is required; new graduates must apply for the RN residency program available three times a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients prior to procedures.
  • Educate patients on at-home preparations for their procedures.
  • Assist the physician during procedures as part of the procedural team.
  • Administer nurse sedation during procedures.
  • Manage post-operative care and discharge processes in the endoscopy unit.
  • Ensure proper cleaning of scopes following manufacturer guidelines.
