Complex Sales Director

The Complex Director of Sales & Marketing develops and implements sales strategies to drive revenue and occupancy goals. This role works closely with the Executive Team to identify strategies and tactics to achieve market share and revenue objectives. The Director will collaborate with Sonesta's Marketing, Revenue Management, and Sales teams to leverage national brand strategies at the local level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to drive extended stay room sales.
- Create room allocation and pricing strategies for Local Negotiated Accounts.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and sales and marketing plan.
- Work with the senior leadership team to positively impact the effectiveness of the hotel operation.
- Manage sales teams, including hiring, evaluating, and training staff.
- Develop and implement hotel-level tactical sales plans to drive incremental occupancy and revenue.
- Monitor sales activities and performance to ensure actual sales exceed the established revenue plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Three years of previous hotel sales experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, and profit/loss concepts.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
