POSITION SUMMARY

The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in managing service appointments and recommending necessary vehicle maintenance to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits with utmost professionalism and care.

· Follow up on missed communications to ensure customer concerns are addressed.

· Assess whether technical issues can be resolved remotely; if not, promptly escalate to the appropriate service personnel.

· Diligently document customer concerns and service data in the Dealer Management System, emphasizing accuracy.

· Guide customers through service transactions and provide clear summaries of the services performed.

· Communicate estimated service completion times and provide regular updates on vehicle status.

· Ensure thorough detailing of vehicles prior to customer delivery.

· Coordinate with customers regarding service pick-up or delivery times.

· Conduct follow-ups to confirm customer satisfaction with services rendered.

· Perform additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Familiarity with vehicle maintenance methods, tools, and materials.

· Experience with various hand and power tools, as well as automotive diagnostic equipment.

· Basic understanding of automotive repair and service techniques.

· Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain attention to detail.

· Eagerness to learn about new automotive technologies.

· Capacity to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.

· Proficient in maintaining detailed records and reports.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

· Experience with Dealer Management Systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Office Suite.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • General knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Sales experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Must clear a background check.
