About the Role

Talent4Health is seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Specialist to join their team in Augusta, Maine.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation to achieve diagnostic or therapeutic results. This includes ensuring compliance with patient care plans, utilizing specialized equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' medical histories to determine optimal treatment plans.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and CT scanners.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, therapists, and nurses to develop and implement treatment strategies.
  • Ensure accurate dosimetry and radiation safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility as a Therapeutic Radiologic Physicist by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board for Medical Physics (ABMP).
  • Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles, physics, and mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
