At SpaceX, we're revolutionizing the space industry with innovative technologies that enable human life on Mars. Our Starlink guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) team is seeking a talented engineer to develop autopilot algorithms for thousands of satellites and user terminals.

Job Description

This role involves developing highly reliable and performant GNC algorithms, simulations, tools, services, and dashboards using C++ or Python. You'll participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, and work closely with the team to ensure our network operates at peak performance.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace, physics, or an engineering discipline
  • Software development experience in either C++ or Python
  • PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree or PHD in an engineering discipline or physics, creative approach to problem solving, exceptional analytical skills and engineering fundamentals
