Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join our Starlink GNC team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our in-house vehicle dynamics simulator, as well as related infrastructure for dispersed Monte Carlo simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) simulations, and GNC-specific data visualization. This role requires strong software design and development skills, with experience in C/C++ and Python.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the in-house simulator for Starlink, ensuring it scales in performance and capability.
- Work with simulation software users to develop new features and models, improving user experience.
- Improve reliability and performance of simulation software through continuous integration, profiling, and other best practices.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline and 5+ years of experience in software development; OR 7+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years development experience in C/C++.
- Professional experience developing/maintaining simulation software.
