We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Madison. This is a full-time position working evenings and every other weekend, with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
About the Role:The Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks for residents daily. They will provide support in food handling and service, maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen, and ensuring high quality standards for each meal.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to monthly menus and dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the dietary manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Perform tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning up after meals, and restocking supplies.
- Working knowledge of basic cooking skills, standards of food preparation, and serving procedures.
- Ability to read and follow directions in recipes, menus, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary certification preferred.
