The Market Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and directing the branch operations, ensuring that our members and community receive exceptional service. This position involves managing all aspects of a remote Credit Union branch, including direct supervision of staff, guaranteeing that the team consistently delivers outstanding member experiences while maintaining the safety and security of the branch. The Market Manager will guide the team in advising members on the products and services that best meet their financial needs, fostering growth and profitability through the development and enhancement of member relationships and retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a Sales Leader by ensuring the branch meets and surpasses sales and service objectives. Monitor and support marketing initiatives, sales activities, and quality service efforts, including transaction volumes and new account openings, to ensure branch goals are achieved.
- Ensure all members and visitors are greeted warmly and professionally upon entering the credit union.
- Guarantee that branch operations comply with established policies, procedures, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating all staff members.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on professional interactions with members, partner companies, and vendors.
- Ensure staff are well-versed in all Credit Union products and services as well as their respective job responsibilities.
- Continuously assess workflow to determine staffing needs.
- Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage for a positive member experience.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss operations, sales, and staff development.
- Promote Credit Union programs and drive new memberships through active participation in business development activities.
- Identify the needs of current and potential members and effectively present the Credit Union's offerings to foster new relationships.
- Represent the Credit Union in key community engagements, including business, charitable, civic, and social organizations.
- Maintain and develop relationships with current partners and community groups.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in sales and operational processes, including cash management and transaction balancing.
- Prepare necessary reports and maintain accurate documentation of branch operations.
- Communicate regularly with the main office and attend management meetings as scheduled.
- Address escalated member requests and complex issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversee daily transaction balancing and assist with loan application processing as needed.
- Support members with account management and resolve inquiries within the scope of authority.
- May perform teller duties during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Ensure the branch is well-maintained and that the safety and security of employees and members are prioritized.
- Enforce safety and security protocols and maintain the physical integrity of the branch.
- Respond to after-hours alarms or service requests as necessary.

- A four-year degree in a business or finance-related field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant branch management and member service experience is required, with 5 years in customer service preferred.
- Experience managing a financial institution branch is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Credit Union products and services is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
