Job Description:
We are seeking a Phlebotomy Team Supervisor (xx hours per week) to oversee operations in our designated region.

D-D, X-X

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Phlebotomy Team Supervisor will manage a group of phlebotomists within a specified area. This role involves evaluating, training, and coordinating daily staffing for phlebotomists.

Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, sales teams, client services, logistics, and senior management, is essential.

The supervisor will oversee operations at Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOPs).

A comprehensive understanding of fundamental phlebotomy practices and COVID-19 protocols is required to ensure that all phlebotomists adhere to these standards.


PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and schedule daily staffing and emergency coverage.
  • Coordinate the responsibilities of phlebotomists and assist in clarifying test interpretations.
  • Serve as a primary consultant for inquiries regarding unusual tests.
  • Act as a liaison for problem resolution.
  • Conduct orientation and training sessions for phlebotomists.
  • Ensure proper usage of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the training of new hires.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, OSHA standards, and all departmental and company policies, including infection control and biohazard waste management.
  • Follow all compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of BioReference Health, LLC by performing non-technical, educational, and administrative tasks.
  • Execute all responsibilities with courtesy and efficiency, demonstrating positive customer service principles.
  • Review applications for new hires and provide recommendations regarding terminations.
  • Report any issues to management.
  • Conduct performance reviews for employees biannually.
  • Complete timesheets and validate all overtime hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ years of supervisory experience managing 20+ employees across various shifts. Experience with critical patient care. Proficient computer skills. Phlebotomy certification in states where required (WA, CA, NV, and LA). Basic technical knowledge is a plus. Valid Driver's License required. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region approximately 75% of the time.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Compensation Range:
