Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Dentist to join our team. As a General Dentist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient health assessments, diagnosing intraoral and extra-oral conditions, developing and executing treatment plans, and providing routine dental treatments. You will also supervise dental assistants and provide professional consultation to other staff dentists when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient health assessments to include patients' height, weight, blood pressure, medical problems, allergies, reactions, and prescribed medications.
  • Diagnose patients' intraoral and extra-oral conditions including existing caries, endodontic pathology, periodontal condition, prosthetic needs, and any soft tissue abnormalities.
  • Develop and execute treatment plans tailored to patients' specific needs.
  • Provide routine dental treatments including amalgam restorations, aesthetic composite restorations, routine root canal therapy, routine extractions, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning, and pedodontic care.
  • Supervise dental assistants to ensure efficient and effective team performance.
  • Provide professional consultation to other staff dentists when needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Dental school.
  • A current New York State license.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records software Dentrix or eClinicalWorks.
  • Experience with Dexis digital radiographs.
