Responsibilities- Document and perform work as outlined on repair orders, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
- Drain oil from the crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil, replacing oil and air filters as necessary.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as needed.
- Check tire pressure and add air if necessary.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Keep the shop area neat and clean.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Eagerness to improve and learn new skills.
- Some experience required in the automotive industry.
- Strong physical dexterity for working with tools.
- Ability to collaborate well with others in a team setting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive, friendly attitude, and a customer service mentality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
