Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at Washington University in St. Louis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex or multi-site clinical research studies, providing comprehensive information to clinical research staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance and interaction with other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage protocol study start-up and study launch, submission, and maintenance of essential regulatory documents.
  • Assist in budget review and invoice tracking, and scheduling and facilitating site visits by external and internal monitors and auditors.
  • Provide high-level direct and indirect support to clinical research staff.
  • Work with Principal Investigators to evaluate research procedures, confer with them to assist in developing plans for research projects, and provide input on feasibility, cost, and workload.
  • Serve as a resource to clinical research staff, ensuring appropriate procedures and explaining policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that research projects are completed according to IRB and federal guidelines.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, and provide comprehensive direction to clinical research personnel.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of clinical research staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of clinical research experience with some level of lead or supervisory experience required.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
  • SoCRA or ACRP certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in Pediatrics and/or Oncology.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical-sponsored therapeutic protocols.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate in oral and written form with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet, and statistical analysis software.
