Overview

The Clinical Research Nurse plays a pivotal role in the coordination of research studies conducted by Mercy Research. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks related to clinical trials, including volunteer recruitment, drug/device/supply inventory management, and interaction with physicians, nurses, office staff, patients, and clinical monitors.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical trials, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Recruit and manage volunteers, ensuring informed consent and adherence to study protocols
  • Manage drug/device/supply inventory, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely replenishment
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure seamless trial execution
  • Collect, compile, document, and analyze clinical research data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Assist in training and preceptor duties, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development
  • Communicate effectively with sponsors and CROs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Qualifications
  • BSN or RN with 4 years of clinical experience in lieu of BSN
  • Registered Nurse with a valid license in the state of practice
  • 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in clinical research
Preferred Certifications
  • CIP/CCRC/CCRP
