Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Receptionist to join our team at Comprehensive Community Action. As the first point of contact for clients and patients, you will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check in clients and patients, collect demographic information, and update records
  • Manage collection of urine samples, send orders via electronic interface, and schedule appointments
  • Answer agency phones, make referrals to internal services and external resources, and confirm insurance eligibility
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Triage skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work required. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. The work environment is moderate, with frequent use of phone, writing, and typing.
