Job Overview

As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing on-site construction engineering activities for unique and challenging bridge and/or heavy civil and marine projects throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project engineering activities to ensure compliance with company, contract, and schedule requirements
  • Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety standards, and productivity goals
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor schedules, performance, and payments
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans
  • Remit accurate project quantity input, controls, and cost coding
  • Review project specifications for quality assurance
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and/or labor
  • Supervise, direct, and mentor junior engineering staff
  • Ensure timely notices to the owner regarding extra work, design changes, delays, impacts, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience within the heavy civil and/or marine construction industry
Preferred Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience within the heavy civil and/or marine construction industry
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to lead collaborative efforts
  • Excellent grammar, composition, and verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 & Auto-Cad
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with alternative project deliver methods
Travel Requirements

Limited travel may be required

This position will be based in the Mobile, AL area, but relocation may be required in response to other opportunities.
