Role Overview:
In this position, you will not only deliver exceptional nursing care but also guide the Diabetes clinic flow team as required. Your duties will encompass providing care to patients in the office, supervising staff training, managing work assignments, and playing a vital role in employment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' overall health, including taking vital signs and measuring weight.
  • Mentor and train LPNs and Medical Assistants.
  • Administer intravenous fluids under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Document all patient interactions, responses, and medications in medical records.
  • Procure clinical supplies as needed.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and endocrine assessments.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all medical records.
  • Dispense medications under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Guarantee adequate staffing levels in the clinic.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Allocate daily tasks to clinic staff to support physicians effectively.
  • Provide educational materials to patients and relay physician instructions.
  • Collaborate with the clinical manager to resolve clinic-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN nursing program.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Familiarity with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.

Licenses, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment.
  • ACLS/BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Valid LPN License.
  • Clearances for Act 31 and Act 33 Child Abuse Reporting.
  • Clearances for Act 34 and Act 73 FBI.
  • Current state licensure or NLC multistate license.
