Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all floor areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain all floor areas, including offices, hallways, and common areas.
  • Operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums.
  • Dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection.
  • Perform carpet cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, buffing, shampooing, and waxing floors.
  • Measure chemicals correctly and operate chemical dispensing units.
  • Label chemicals correctly and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with the hazardous waste collection process and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Attend regular trainings and complete any necessary certifications.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 6+ months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds of equipment and trash.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment:

Our team works in a variety of settings, including small-to-large office and airport environments. You will be exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments. You will be required to wear safety glasses and follow strict safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. You will be required to lift and move equipment and trash, and may be exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.
