Production Specialist

The Cannabist Company is a leading provider of cannabis products and services, with a strong presence in 16 U.S. jurisdictions. Our company operates 125 facilities, including 94 dispensaries and 31 cultivation and manufacturing facilities. We offer a wide range of products, including flower, edibles, oils, and tablets, under popular brands such as Seed & Strain, Triple Seven, Hedy, gLeaf, Classix, Press, and Amber.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of plant processing, from post-crop harvest to packaging and labeling of the final product. This includes trimming, assembling product materials, and ensuring accurate quantity, weight, and type of product is packaged.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in post-harvest plant processing of medical cannabis
- Remove fan leaves, dry, trim, cure, weigh, package, label, record, and inspect product
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Transport harvested plants to drying and hang to be dried
- Hand trim and/or operate a trimming machine to remove guard and/or sugar leaves from medical marijuana
- Weigh, package, label, record, and track medical cannabis for distribution
- Receive instructions and assist on tasks as delegated by management team
- Work in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain a culture of professionalism and service
- Ensure daily compliance with policies, including state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules
- At least 21 years of age
- 1-3 years of experience in production position, including hands-on production activities
- General knowledge of weights and measurement
- Evening/night/weekend work may be required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and judgment
- Speed and precision with equipment and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency on a daily basis
- High attention to detail
- Standing/sitting for long periods of time
The job requires physical activity, including prolonged sitting, standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
