We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our business banking team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our small business clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Develop new banking relationships with business prospects, identify new business opportunities, and expand existing relationships.
- Client Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our business clients, respond to their needs, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of loan and deposit relationships with small business clients, ensuring that their financial needs are met and their relationships with the bank are strong.
- Sales and Cross-Selling: Work with branch partners to effectively sell to the business customer and cross-sell other bank products, such as cash management, merchant services, and trade services.
- Credit Evaluation: Evaluate credit information and requests, and recommend appropriate loan structure to manage risk.
- Relationship Management: Network with centers of influence, such as accountants, attorneys, and other referral sources, to develop business and expand relationships.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong credit skills, ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns, and good understanding of cash management, merchant services, and trade services products.
- Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with business clients and internal stakeholders.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $119,001.40 Annual (USD). We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
