Medical Director, Inpatient Mental Health Program Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Inpatient Mental Health Program at Children's Mercy Hospital (MO). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing psychiatric and medical operations, including the development of health management strategies, quality of psychiatric and medical care, and new clinical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional pediatric and adult psychiatry services to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Develop and implement health management strategies to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Lead the development of new clinical initiatives and programs to enhance patient care and services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
- Provide oversight, evaluation, and review of quality of work of psychiatric practitioners.
Requirements:
- Triple board certification in General Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Four to six years of post-residency clinical experience with at least three years of experience in medical leadership roles in an inpatient environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in implementing and managing psychiatric and medical operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
