Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Truman Medical Centers. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our inpatient behavioral health unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to patients with mental health conditions
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor patient behavior and report any concerns to nursing staff
  • Participate in treatment planning and implementation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BCLS certification within 120 days of hire
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in patient care, including assistance with ambulation, feeding, and other activities of daily living
  • Previous mental health experience
  • BCLS certification
