Responsibilities:- Perform echocardiograms, including 2D, Doppler, and stress echocardiography, according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
- Assist cardiologists in interpreting test results and providing preliminary findings for patient evaluation.
- Document procedures, patient information, and test results accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and follow-up as needed.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
- Vascular training and experience secondary.
- Current registry in either cardiac and/or vascular sonography through the ARDMS/CCI.
- BLS & Mandatory Reporter.
- Proficiency in performing 2D, Doppler, and stress echocardiograms.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
