About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Department of Defense. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures, assisting radiologists with fluoroscopic and special radiographic examinations, and preparing patients for imaging studies.
You will also be required to schedule patients for radiology appointments, ensure that equipment and supplies are properly maintained, and adhere to strict safety protocols. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and provide exceptional patient care
- Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic and special radiographic examinations
- Schedule patients for radiology appointments and ensure efficient use of resources
- Maintain equipment and supplies, adhering to safety protocols and standards
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in radiography
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
