About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily clinical practice and nursing care delivery. The successful candidate will share 24-hour responsibility for operational activities, supervise nursing and technical staff, and participate in hiring, promotions, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Nurse Manager in overseeing daily clinical practice and nursing care delivery
- Share 24-hour responsibility for operational activities
- Supervise nursing and technical staff, assess staff proficiency, and coordinate staffing needs
- Participate in hiring, promotions, and terminations
- Serve as a role model, fostering staff development and supporting strategic goals
- Mentor staff, identify potential future leaders, and engage in succession planning
- Analyze and implement administrative and operational improvements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing (Masters required within 5 years)
- RN license
- Operating Room experience
- 5 years of clinical and leadership experience
- CNOR certification (or must obtain within 6 months of start date)
