The Restaurant Manager at Arva, part of Aman New York by F&B 575, is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant while consistently exceeding guest expectations in terms of quality and service. Compensation: The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $85,000.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the greeting, seating, and departure of all guests with a professional demeanor.
- Training, evaluating, and scheduling all restaurant personnel.
- Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
- Conducting inspections of all restaurant areas to ensure service standards are upheld.
- Addressing guest inquiries and coordinating special requests.
- Enforcing company guidelines and policies.
- Implementing and communicating new menus and promotional events.
- Providing assistance and information to guests in public areas.
- Offering leadership and support to all food and beverage staff.
- Participating in all assigned meetings and training sessions.
- Communicating guest information and updates to relevant hotel staff promptly.
- Maintaining an active system for tracking guest preferences.
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing monthly and weekly forecasts.
- Completing payroll for the department.
- Assigning group deliveries and special events to management staff.
- Attending all relevant hotel and food & beverage meetings.
- Updating menus as necessary.
- Revising departmental standards and procedures as needed.
- Assisting in the preparation and distribution of daily reports.
- Welcoming all guests, colleagues, and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Managing inquiries and bookings efficiently to maximize sales.
- Encouraging team commitment and morale.
- Ensuring team members adhere to grooming standards.
- Sharing ideas and best practices with the team and encouraging their input in decision-making.
- Performing various other duties as assigned by hotel management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury hotel or similar restaurant environment.
- Must possess flexible availability and be willing to work weekends.
- Exhibit a positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Possess a keen attention to detail and extensive service knowledge.
- Have a solid understanding of food preparation, wine, and spirits.
- Be sensitive to cultural differences.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with company policies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Hold TIPS and Food Handler's Certification.
