The company offers a 360-degree solution set for world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes the most influential and highest attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions.

The Baker is responsible for preparing desserts and baked goods to be served to guests throughout the venue.

The Baker will often have direct contact with the public working in areas such as a buffet line or preparing dishes to order.

The Baker must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $20.00 to $22.00.

Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching for part-time roles.

The Footprint Center is located in the heart of downtown Phoenix and is home to the Phoenix Suns and Mercury professional basketball teams.

The venue hosts a variety of special events and concerts throughout the year.

Responsibilities of the Baker include:

  • Preparing and producing all dessert, cookies, pies, cakes, and breads for all menus.
  • Maintaining adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensuring proper storage.
  • Minimizing spoilage and waste by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
  • Maintaining daily pars on all products to ensure freshness.
  • Utilizing leftovers into usable products where possible.

Qualifications for the Baker position include:

  • Previous baking and cooking experience.
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
