About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for our cutting-edge Cybersecurity products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop real-time embedded software for our Cybersecurity products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test software
  • Work with custom hardware built in-house to develop mission-critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices
  • Develop software using model-based development techniques, preferably with Rhapsody
  • Ensure software meets high standards of quality, reliability, and security
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably with Linux OS
  • Experience with real-time multi-threaded embedded software development
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming principles
  • Experience with ARM virtualization extensions, preferably Hypervisor
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with model-based development, preferably with Rhapsody
  • Knowledge of UML and C++ programming languages
  • Experience with long development lifecycles and product lifespans
  • Knowledge of Linux and device drivers
