Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Superintendent to join our team at Par Pacific. As a key member of our maintenance and reliability team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our refinery's reliability strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the refinery's reliability strategy, including the identification and implementation of tactics to improve reliability performance.
  • Support the achievement of reliability improvements through leadership, people development, process improvement, and tool implementation.
  • Coordinate operational, technical, mechanical, and electrical engineering functions to ensure continuous reliable refinery performance.
  • Manage reliability-associated activities, including proactive and preventive maintenance programs, field support, and mentoring of operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Manage the refinery's reliability engineering function, encompassing equipment surveillance, troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, project support, and equipment modifications.
  • Supervise reliability engineering studies, including bad actors and repeat failures, and oversee the reporting and analysis of reliability metrics to identify trends in equipment reliability.
  • Lead the department and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in reliability or equipment-related incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with established engineering standards and industry codes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or chemical engineering required.
  • 10+ years of reliability engineering experience in the petrochemical industry required.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's License with an acceptable Driver's Abstract.
