Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong leadership skills and be able to influence site managers and employees to take appropriate actions to ensure a safe working environment.

They must be able to effectively communicate EHS risks and assist leaders in assessing and prioritizing these risks based on legal requirements and business objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with management and legal counsel to address regulatory compliance and liability issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective EHS strategies and plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and front-line employees to reinforce and improve the safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the environmental, health and safety discipline.
  • At least 5 years of working in a manufacturing environment as a safety professional.
  • Experience in aerospace preferred.
  • Strong technical and regulatory expertise in environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and/or implementation experience with applicable industry standards.

Education:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Engineering.

Advanced certification, additional specialized safety education, and/or equivalent work experience are desired but not required.
