Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our team at The Elmhurst Healthcare. This full-time role is essential in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our residents through comprehensive dietary management and clinical oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Develop and oversee menu cycles that meet the dietary needs of our specific population, ensuring nutritional adequacy and quality of food served.
  • Manage inventories of nutritional supplements and products, collaborating with Nursing and Nutrition Services to support special dietary requirements.
  • Provide nutritional support for wound care, implementing necessary interventions to enhance healing processes.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on dietary practices during care plan meetings and continuously throughout their care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the nutritional status of residents in long-term care and rehabilitation settings, assisting in identifying and addressing clinical nutrition challenges.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, completion of an accredited program, and successful passage of the Registered Dietitian Examination.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in Massachusetts.
  • Experience in healthcare food service, particularly in a Dietitian role, with a preference for candidates with long-term care experience.
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
