Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Care Specialist to provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients, including vital sign checks and medication administration.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of practice as established by MelroseWakefield Healthcare.
- Support the flow of care on the unit and perform unit secretary duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent; ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
- Successful completion of a certified patient care/clinical associate/certified nursing assistant or equivalent course.
- Current BCLS required.
- 2-4 years experience in healthcare and nursing services experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, and computer experience required.
