  • Commercial and Residential Construction Sector:
    • Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, credit card reconciliations, job costing, and tracking budget versus actual costs and margins.
    • Coordinate with vendors and project managers to ensure prompt payments to subcontractors.
    • Oversee compliance matters such as Certificates of Insurance (COIs), W-9 forms, lien waivers, and maintenance of licensing requirements.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the controller and senior management.
    • Utilize various software applications, including Quickbooks, Appfolio, AvidXchange, and Procore, requiring a willingness to learn and collaborate with team members and software vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Proficient understanding of debits and credits, financial statement preparation, and the ability to construct workpapers supporting account balances.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Possess a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong skills in relationship building.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a collaborative mindset, ready to assist as needed.
