Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join our outpatient pharmacy team at Soliant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently manage retail dispensing and home health aids, ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery.
  • Take verbal prescriptions, fill and dispense medications, and provide verbal consultations to patients, promoting exceptional patient care.
  • Perform and/or supervise pharmaceutical pounding activities, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Offer clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, and pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, to support patient health and well-being.
  • Participate in departmental quality control and assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including monitoring levels, ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping, to maintain efficient and effective operations.
  • Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation, upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Input and process prescriptions accurately, correcting any errors or discrepancies as needed.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects, promoting informed decision-making and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Administer vaccines as required, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Perform other related duties as needed, contributing to the success and growth of our team.
Requirements
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in retail pharmacy preferred, but not required.
