Outpatient Pharmacist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join our outpatient pharmacy team at Soliant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Proficiently manage retail dispensing and home health aids, ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery.
- Take verbal prescriptions, fill and dispense medications, and provide verbal consultations to patients, promoting optimal medication use and adherence.
- Perform and/or supervise pharmaceutical pounding activities, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Offer clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, and pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, to support patient health and well-being.
- Participate in departmental quality control and assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee inventory control activities, including monitoring levels, ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping, to maintain efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
- Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation, upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Input and process prescriptions accurately, correcting any errors or discrepancies as needed.
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects, promoting informed decision-making and optimal health outcomes.
- Administer vaccines as required, ensuring timely and effective immunization services.
- Perform other related duties as needed, contributing to the overall success and growth of our pharmacy team.
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in retail pharmacy preferred, but not required.
