Job Title: Outpatient Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Retail Pharmacist to join our outpatient pharmacy team.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will ensure that medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally, while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in retail dispensing and home health aids.
  • Take verbal prescriptions, fill and dispense medications, and provide verbal consultations to patients.
  • Perform and/or supervise pharmaceutical compounding activities.
  • Offer clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, and pharmacokinetic dosing consultations.
  • Participate in departmental quality control and assurance programs.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including monitoring levels, ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation.
  • Input and process prescriptions accurately.
  • Correct prescriptions as needed.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects.
  • Administer vaccines as required.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in retail pharmacy preferred.
