We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for managing patient assignments and flow within our inpatient care unit. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assign staff to patients based on current unit workload, considering factors such as pod acuity, staff experience, and patient acuity/complexity.
- Participate in performance management of staff members, including coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Address conflicts and maintain smooth operations of the unit, involving unit leadership or the House Supervisor as necessary.
- Facilitate timely admissions and discharges to optimize clinical capacity.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Bachelor's Degree (e.g. BSN, BA, BS) at time of hire, or degree expected within 36 months of hire.
- 2 years of progressive responsibility within an acute care setting required.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within assigned unit.
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills required.
- Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility, and teamwork.
