Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

At Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to patients in our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
