CLIENT'S OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

  • Design and implement tailored lesson plans utilizing multisensory teaching methods for students with various academic and behavioral challenges, aimed at enhancing their educational experience and boosting student success.
  • Maintain regular communication with school leaders, fellow educators, service providers, and community stakeholders to advocate for the unique educational requirements of students.
*Work collaboratively with students and their families to identify strengths, interests, and needs, while clearly communicating learning objectives and progress.

  • Oversee and support the execution of goals in inclusive settings, monitor service delivery, and provide necessary accommodations/modifications in accordance with IEPs and Section 504 Plans.
  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes high achievement and encourages student ownership of their learning, supporting their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
  • Participate in parent meetings and IEP discussions; deliver instruction by developing, selecting, and adapting instructional materials and techniques to meet the diverse needs of all students.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Dedication to the success of every student;
  • Teaching experience in a public or private educational setting, preferably in an urban context;
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team;
  • Experience in developing and monitoring IEPs and engaging with families and service providers to support student needs; capability to work with diverse populations; strong understanding of the teaching and learning process.
  • Master's degree in special education is preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of classroom experience with evidence of student growth.
