Our client is in search of a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role presents an excellent opportunity to engage with students in a supportive classroom environment.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday availability
- Immediate start for the academic year

- Design and implement tailored lesson plans utilizing multisensory teaching methods for students with various academic and behavioral challenges, aimed at enhancing their educational experience and boosting student success.
- Maintain regular communication with school leaders, fellow educators, service providers, and community stakeholders to advocate for the unique educational requirements of students.
- Oversee and support the execution of goals in inclusive settings, monitor service delivery, and provide necessary accommodations/modifications in accordance with IEPs and Section 504 Plans.
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes high achievement and encourages student ownership of their learning, supporting their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Participate in parent meetings and IEP discussions; deliver instruction by developing, selecting, and adapting instructional materials and techniques to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Dedication to the success of every student;
- Teaching experience in a public or private educational setting, preferably in an urban context;
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team;
- Experience in developing and monitoring IEPs and engaging with families and service providers to support student needs; capability to work with diverse populations; strong understanding of the teaching and learning process.
- Master's degree in special education is preferred;
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of classroom experience with evidence of student growth.
