Special Education Teacher-Inclusion Position

At District of Columbia International School, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher-Inclusion to join our team. This role entails providing special education services and supports to students with exceptional learning needs, working closely with diverse families, and collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in secondary education or a related field, with previous experience teaching in this content area. They will be able to use multiple technology platforms to guide instruction and communicate with students and families, and have a strong interest in language immersion, 1:1 technology, and IB Middle Years Program model.

The Special Education Teacher-Inclusion will provide instruction to DCI students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), conduct special education meetings and case management functions, and collaborate closely with education leadership. They will also advise students, including teaching an advisory class using our school curriculum, and support other aspects of the school's instructional program.
