Job Purpose:

To oversee the daily business operations of the distribution center in alignment with financial and operational goals. Ensure the proper execution of operational plans designed for the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the layout of the warehouse and other storage areas to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting systems to track and analyze warehouse performance.
  • Design and implement production planning and inventory control systems to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on warehouse operations, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Analyze inventory levels and recommend actions to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Review and verify inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate special and periodic inventories to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement work procedures and schedules to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Issue written and oral instructions to employees and evaluate their work for accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful work environment and resolve employee grievances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage 4-12 subordinate managers who oversee departmental supervisors, with a total workforce of employees across various departments.
  • Carry out managerial duties in line with company policies and applicable laws, including employee training, work planning and direction, performance appraisal, reward and discipline, complaint resolution, and the design and implementation of management and operational procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of distribution center operations and inventory control systems.
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of collaboration.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines.

  • Work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
