Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be equipped with the academic and clinical expertise to deliver a comprehensive range of healthcare services at an advanced level. The role requires functioning independently while fostering ongoing collaboration with physicians, peers, and other healthcare professionals.
All care provided will adhere to VHA, JC, and national standards, ensuring alignment with outcomes research.
Core Duties:
Clinical responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing patient care and conducting systematic evaluations of clinical practices.
- Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration and resolving problems across various service lines.
- Delivering same-day and acute care services to patients as part of the PACT teams.
- Managing a panel of patients for preventative health, chronic disease management, and acute medical care.
- Preparing treatment plans and conducting collaborative assessments within the PACT teams.
The incumbent will also demonstrate leadership in:
- Applying the nursing process to enhance client care and organizational systems.
- Addressing ethical issues impacting clients and staff.
- Managing program resources to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Implementing educational plans to meet evolving service needs.
- Maintaining current knowledge of professional standards and practices.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Requirements:

- Successful completion of a urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Completion of a probationary period and background/security investigation.
- Passing a pre-employment physical examination.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is mandatory for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). Compliance with the COVID-19 vaccination program is also required.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
- A Master's degree in any discipline or a Bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) or be in the process of taking the exam.
- A full and unrestricted license to practice in a U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth.
Preferred experience includes a minimum of five years in Primary Care or Family Practice, with prior VA experience being advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
Light carrying (less than 15 pounds), use of fingers, walking and standing for limited durations, and mostly sitting are expected. Vision and hearing requirements apply.
