Job Title: Senior Information Technology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Technology Specialist to join our team at European Tech Recruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our organization, as well as leading projects to improve our IT infrastructure and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support to our end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, network, and software issues.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and configure our server systems, software, and computer systems, including installing and configuring VMware, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and SQL.
  • Network Operations: Perform network modifications and configurations, including setting up and maintaining firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare summary reports on network operations and server health, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Lead projects to improve our IT processes and systems, and make recommendations for new technologies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8-10 years' experience in IT support, with a strong background in technical support, IT infrastructure management, and network operations.
  • Skills: Strong English skills, both verbal and written; strong proficiency in Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong knowledge of Hyper-v, Windows Server, and SQL; and knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires working onsite in our Boston office. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
