Position Overview:

As a Senior Manager at IQ-EQ, you will engage directly with prominent private equity and hedge fund organizations within the alternative asset sector, guided by our team of seasoned professionals. Your role will involve enhancing our service offerings by assisting, executing, and evaluating the following:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist client leads on various Hedge and Private Equity funds across multiple sectors.
  • Oversee team operations to meet client expectations and ensure timely delivery of client outputs as stipulated by partnership agreements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of partnership agreements and apply relevant terms to financial reporting and income/expense distributions.
  • Evaluate journal entries, management fee computations, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, cash flow sources/uses, investor notifications, carried interest computations, and manage waterfall models.
  • Review daily position and trade reconciliations between client records and Prime Brokers.
  • Coordinate the distribution of capital call and distribution notifications to clients and investors.
  • Examine monthly Administrator NAV Packages and update the portfolio accounting system as required.
  • Analyze financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage the year-end process and respond to inquiries from external auditors and tax professionals.
  • Evaluate operational efficiency and propose enhancements for process improvement.
  • Address routine client information requests and accommodate ad-hoc inquiries as necessary.
  • Prioritize and manage work tasks to meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Conduct quarterly Client and Time Assessments and suggest operational improvements.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in hedge/private equity, public accounting, or a blend of alternative asset investment and public accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with expertise in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team setting, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Effective and professional communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Investran, Allvue, and Bloomberg is preferred.
