Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the nursing staff on the Telemetry Unit. This includes conducting shift huddles, rounding on patients, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality shift huddles to communicate strategic priorities and ensure seamless patient care
  • Round on patients and staff to identify and address any concerns or barriers to care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive positive outcomes and improve patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and effective care coordination
  • Provide coaching and guidance to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a Telemetry setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN with a commitment to completing a BSN within 1 year)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support and specialty certification (as required by unit)
