Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide essential support to physicians in a clinical environment. This role entails assisting with medical examinations and procedures, recording patient vital signs, and administering medications as directed by healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Support physicians and nurses during medical examinations and procedures.
  • Record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and weight.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Gather and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests such as blood draws, EKGs, and urine analysis.
Requirements
  • At least 12 months of experience in the healthcare industry is necessary.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical software, and basic medical equipment operation is required.
  • Must be willing to work at both Providence and East Greenwich offices as needed.
