Key Responsibilities:
The Research Associate II will engage in a variety of essential research activities, including:
- Conducting routine and complex laboratory tasks to support research objectives.
- Participating in all phases of the research process, including investigation, technical testing, and validation of results.
- Performing experimental protocols and procedures to assist in achieving laboratory research goals.
- Maintaining compliance with safety standards and laboratory protocols.
- Preparing data for publication and presentations at academic conferences.
- Ordering laboratory supplies and ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
Equipment and Training:
The Associate will also:
- Maintain lab equipment and related documentation, coordinating its use as necessary.
- Assist in the operation of specialized research equipment.
- Provide orientation and training to junior research assistants and undergraduate researchers on daily lab operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and experimental protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word.
